Over the years, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive a number of awards within the hair industry, and each one has meant so much to me. But this award feels especially meaningful because education is far more than just part of my career, it’s something I genuinely pour my heart and soul into every single day.

From the very beginning, my mission has always been about more than simply teaching hair extension techniques. I want every student who trains with me to leave feeling empowered, confident, and fully capable of building a successful future for themselves. Raising standards within our industry and helping stylists transform their careers has always been at the centre of everything I do.

At Melissa Hayward Academy, I truly believe education should be accessible, practical, supportive, and inspiring. Of course technical skills are essential, but confidence is what changes careers. When you believe in your ability, you create opportunities, grow your business, and build the career you’ve always wanted.

Winning this award is such a proud moment, but the real reward has always been watching my students grow: from nervous beginners to confident, successful professionals doing what they love.
