Hi, I'm Melissa

I left school without a Leaving Cert. Today I am the founder of Ireland's highest rated hair extension academy, a 15 time award winner and Vice President of the Irish Hairdressing Council.

If I can do it, so can you.

My journey with hair extensions started when I was 17, working after school and weekends in Bewley's Cafe just to save up for my own extensions. What began as a dream of long thick hair turned into a lifelong passion for helping other women feel incredible.

In the early 2000s I took that passion to New York, completing an apprenticeship at the iconic Zoo Salon. After returning to Ireland I opened my own salon, transforming the hair and confidence of thousands of clients including many celebrity clients. I have worked in salons, TV, film and magazines and through it all I have learned just how powerful hair extensions can be for someone's confidence.

Now I am pouring all of that experience into Melissa Hayward Academy. A space built for women like you to learn, grow and build something truly incredible.
